Our passion for conservation
We love the bush and are we passionate about wildlife, preservation of the wilderness and endangered species in Africa.
We love Ted Turner’s view on conservation: “Save Everything”. But statements like this become overwhelming objectives that lead to paralysis and inaction.
As with sustainability every one of us needs to do what we can to influence what we can, where we can. In 2018 we met Kevin Pietersen through a great friend of ours former Springbok, Butch James who shares our passion for Africa, fine clothing, rugby and the bushveld. After chatting to KP we realised the SORAI mission “to do everything necessary to save the rhino from extinction” was where we could actually make a big difference by adding to the mix what we do well, making and selling fine African inspired clothing and footwear, raising awareness, contributing financially saving our Rhino in Africa and India - SORAI.
SORAI (save our Rhino in Africa India) is KP’s initiative for the ongoing preservation and protection of Rhino in Africa and India and the ongoing education, awareness and public support of this issue global
In 2020 and beyond Kingsley Heath will develop and launch ranges of and co-branded African luxury apparel to be sold through its 15 stores in SA and the UK as well as online globally in an effort to raise awareness and contribute financially to saving the Rhino. Kingsley Heath contributes 45% of all the profits from the sale of these products to the SORAI and or SORAI nominated organisations dedicated to saving the rhino. We will also work proactively with KP, Sorai and others to save other wild life conservation initaitives over time. We look forward to this journey and legacy.
